PHYSICS-Sound Interference

NXT 9797 is used as signal generator in my Physics Class. I use combination of 2 NXT bricks to show students how the interference of sound happens.
1. Arrange the NXT as shown in the above diagram.
2. Press on the NXT button to select TRY ME-SONAR-RUN. Sound is produced.
3. Ask students to walk 2 meter in front of the NXTs.
4. Soft sound and loud sound will be heard alternately along the way.
5. Calculation,
wavelength = ax
----
D

a = distance between to speaker of NXTs
x = distance between 2 consecutive loud sound
D= distance between the NXTs and the line where observation is carried out.
